Thomas O’Neill

Thomas (“Tom”) O’Neill is an experienced attorney with deep expertise in healthcare, including transactional, regulatory, and compliance matters. He possesses a deep understanding of closely held businesses and is able to effectively communicate with all levels of ownership and management.

Prior to joining CSA in 2023, Tom maintained his own legal practice in Hartford, Connecticut, where he represented entities, owners and senior management in healthcare transaction and compliance. He previously served in partner and of counsel roles at several other law firms, where he represented healthcare entities and providers, including physicians, hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers. Before attending law school, Tom worked for what was then the largest public accounting firm in the world as a Certified Public Accountant. 

Tom has written articles for various professional publications and has presented topics at seminars ranging from the application of the Connecticut outpatient surgical facility statute to the tax consequences of mergers and acquisitions. 

He received his law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law and his Bachelor of Science degree cum laude from Providence College, where he was a member of the Tau Pi Phi National Honor Society. He also attended the London School of Economics.
